This escherlabs 55mm (UNCOMMON SIZE) Tamper is designed to fit La San Marco 55mm basket (and similar) machines.
Use this tool after dosing and espresso distribution to tamp the puck for level, consistent, repeatable shots.
Specs:
Diameter: 55.0 mm (Uncommon Size).
Designed to fit La San Marco 55mm basket machines (possibly others). It is a relatively uncommon size. If you're unsure if this will fit your setup, just ask as we're happy to help.
Finish: Raw machined, Each tool will have a unique and personal character (tooling marks and/or minor finish inconsistencies should be expected).
Piston Adjustment Range: 5mm - 14mm

Materials: 6061 Aluminum (body), Maple Burl or Redwood Burl (handle inlay)

To adjust your tool for proper depth:
- Loosen the handle by unscrewing the top section from center section
- Rotate the piston (bottom section) until it reaches the desired depth
- Tighten the handle to lock the piston into place
